I was born and bred in Pretoria, South Africa, and after travelling abroad and studying in the Netherlands we have settled in Whanganui.
I trained in fine arts in South Africa and as a jewellery maker in the Netherlands. I consider myself as a Jill-of -all-trades. I have been commissioned to paint and sculpt murals all over the world, from London to Whanganui and a couple of places in between. Making jewellery and drawing are my meditation and current interest.
I love incorporating a fun, unexpected style of craftsmanship and use of my materials into my work, and I enjoy challenging myself to have as little impact on the environment as possible. Recycling and salvaging are important to me.
I love Whanganui's clean air, our rural house with its gorgeous vista of rolling farmlands and the winding Whanganui river. I love old, chippy chunk and abandoned buildings, pretty fabrics, vintage medical quackery and the way old books smell.
